Paneer Pasanda Recipe
Paneer Pasanda is a rich and creamy paneer dish filled with layers of flavor. Here’s how you can make it:
Ingredients: For Paneer Marinade
- 250 grams paneer, cut into thick slices
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste

- 2 tablespoons grated paneer
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped mixed nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios)
- 1 tablespoon raisins
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Ingredients: For Gravy
- 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 cup fresh cream
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
Instructions:
Step – 1 : Prepare Paneer Marinade:
- Take a bowl and start mixing of, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, yogurt and salt.
- Add paneer slices to the bowl for marinading, ensuring they are well coated. Let the Paneer Slice marinate for at least 25~30 minutes.
Step – 2 : Prepare Stuffing:
- In another bowl, mix grated paneer, chopped mixed nuts, raisins, chopped coriander leaves, salt, and garam masala.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions, depending on the number of paneer slices.
Step – 3 : Stuff Paneer Slices
- Take each marinated paneer slice and make a slit in the middle horizontally, creating a pocket.
- Stuff each paneer slice with the prepared stuffing mixture.
Step – 4 : Cook Stuffed Paneer
- Take the Pan and add the Oil or ghee and start Heating of oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat.
- Place the stuffed paneer slices in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
Step – 5 : Prepare Gravy
- In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed.
- Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté them until you get golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste to the pan and sauté it for 2 minute until the raw smell disappears.
- Add tomato puree and cook until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add fresh cream and mix well. Cook for another minute.
Step – 6 : Assemble Paneer Pasanda
- Place the cooked stuffed paneer slices in the gravy.
- Spoon some gravy over the paneer slices.
- Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes on low heat.
Step – 7 : Garnish and Serve
- Garnish with Cream or chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
